The company has multiple production lines for powder/granular/premix, final sterilized small-volume injection (including Chinese medicine extraction)/final sterilized large-volume non-intravenous injection (including Chinese medicine extraction), oral solution (including Chinese medicine extraction), Chinese medicine extraction (licorice extract, licorice fluid extract) and disinfectant (solid/liquid). In 2018, the company was rated as a provincial enterprise technology center, and in 2020, the company was rated as "Shandong Agricultural Industrialization Leading Enterprise" and "High-tech Enterprise". Shandong Dexin Tuoda Biotechnology Research Institute is a research and development testing center of Shandong Dexin Group established with a capital of 20 million yuan. Located in InnovationValley (Cheeloo University Science and Technology Park) of Jinan High-tech Zone, it undertakes the tasks of improving the product process of the Group, developing new veterinary drugs and new feed additives, as well as the detection of livestock and poultry epidemic diseases and dynamic tracking of epidemic diseases.

The laboratory of the Institute covers a total area of 800m², and is established in strict accordance with the experimental standards issued by China National Accreditation Service (CNAS). The laboratory is equipped with a molecular biology detection area, a cell culture area, a sterile experimental operation area, a microbial fermentation area, a natural product preparation and analysis area, an organic synthesis area, a preparation product development area, an instrument room, a physicochemical operation room, a sample pretreatment room, a weighing room, a small animal feeding room, etc.The instruments and equipment prepared by the laboratory are mainly of domestic and foreign well-known brands, and the main instruments and equipment include: Shimadzu High-pressure Liquid Phase System, Japan (equipped with evaporative light detector and ultraviolet-visible light detector), Borer PCR instrument, fluorescent quantitative PCR instrument, sigma high-speed centrifuge, electrophoresis instrument, gel imaging system, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer, photographing microscope, microbial fermentation system, high-speed tube centrifuge, biosafety cabinet, ultra-low temperature refrigerator, etc. The Research Institute and the central laboratory of cheeloo university Science and Technology Park have signed an agreement to share and use its large-scale valuable instruments and equipment such as scanning electron microscope, mass spectrometer, X-ray diffractometer, and nuclear magnetic resonance instrument.

The Institute consists of Chinese veterinary drug innovation research office, feeding natural plant research office, microbial fermentation process research office, organic synthesis and new veterinary drug development and registration department, livestock and poultry disease detection center. Research projects include the preparation and modification of effective components of Radix Sophorae Flavescentis and the industrialization of the preparation, the development and research of drugs for protecting liver of livestock and poultry (derived from Chinese medicine), the preparation and application of natural composite essential oil (in the direction of respiratory tract and intestinal tract), the development and application of bacteriophage, and the research on micro-ecological preparation of bacillus subtilis rich in copper and zinc.

The research institute has a strong research and development team, and continu-ously introduce advanced talents in various research fields. It has nearly 20 full-time researchers, and most of them have master's /doctor's degrees or middle or senior professional titles. Specialty covers animal medicine, Chinese medicine, pharmacy, microbiology, organic synthesis, analytical chemistry, pharmacology, animal nutrition and other professional.

Shandong Xingu Health Industry Co., Ltd. is a large-scale specialized company invested by Shandong Dexin Biology Group Co., Ltd. with  RMB 205 million  to focus on the research and development, production, sales and service of pharmaceutical raw materials, Chinese medicine extracts, natural plant extracts for feeding, Chinese veterinary medicine preparations, additives and other products.

The area of workshop is 50,000 square meters. It is carried out in strict accordance with the requirements of the "Management Standard for the Production Quality of Veterinary Drugs" (revised new GMP in 2020) issued by the Ministry of Agriculture. It has built a specialized modern workshop for natural plant extracts of Chinese medicinal materials, as well as several production lines for Chinese veterinary drug preparations (liquid and solid), plant-derived feed additives, feed raw materials and mixed feed additives (liquid and solid).

All production equipment are configured according to the requirements of the new GMP in 2020, including 12 specialized 6-ton extraction tanks, 4 double-effect concentration devices with 3000L evaporation per hour, 2 spray drier with 150L evaporation per hour, and a vacuum continuous dryer with 120L evaporation per hour. The company mainly adopts enzymolysis low-temperature extraction technology and low-temperature drying technology to ensure the high activity of its products. It produces more than 10,000 tons of extracts of Chinese veterinary drugs (and natural plants for feed) and more than 50,000 tons of Chinese veterinary drug preparations, feed additives, mixed feed additives, feed raw materials, etc. annually, with a designed annual output value of 2 billion yuan. The company's main products are Ma Xing Shi Gan series, saccharicterpenin, Eucommia ulmoides leaf extract, Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi extract and other traditional Chinese veterinary drugs.

At present, the company has 6 invention patents, and has jointly declared many new veterinary drugs with Shandong Poultry Institute and Zhejiang University.

Adhering to the development strategy that R&D is the core competitiveness of enterprises, the company invested 20 million yuan to build a veterinary drug innovation research institute, with a laboratory area of 1,000 square meters.
