【Characters】This product is a light yellow to brownish red clarified liquid.

【Pharmacological actions】

Pharmacodynamics: Timicosin is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic for animals. It is strong against mycoplasma and its antibacterial effect is similar to that of tylosin. The sensitive Gram-positive bacteria include Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), Staphylococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Bacillus swine venom, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridium perfringens, Clostridium pneumoniae, etc. Sensitive gram-negative bacteria include Haemophilus, Dictyococcus meningitidis, Pasteurella, etc. It is more active than tylosin against Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella and Mycoplasma livestock. 95% of Pasteurella haemolytica strains are sensitive to this product.

Pharmacokinetics :It is rapidly absorbed after internal use, characterized by strong tissue penetration and large distribution volume (>2L/kg).  High concentration in the lungs, elimination half-life up to 1~2 days, and long maintenance time of effective blood concentration.

【Drug interactions】

（1）It has the same target of action as other macrolides and lincosamides and should not be used simultaneously.

（2）Use with β-lactams exhibits antagonistic effects.

【Effect and use】

Macrolide antibiotics.  Used for the treatment of chicken respiratory system diseases caused by Pasteurella and Mycoplasma.

【Usage and dosage】

Calculated with this product,mixed drinking,For chickens, use 0.75ml per 1L of water for 3 days.

【Untoward effect】

The toxic effects of this product on animals are mainly on the cardiovascular system.It can cause tachycardia and decreased contractility.

【Cautions】

Chickens that lay eggs for human consumption should not be used during the egg-laying period.
